Los Angeles couples therapy at Pasadena Clinical Group.
We're a couples-only outpatient psychotherapy practice serving the entire Los Angeles area — the City of LA, LA County, the greater LA metro, and Orange County. Our office is in Pasadena; the bulk of our work happens via secure telehealth from West LA, Hollywood, Mid-City, the Westside, the Valley, the South Bay, and the Eastside. Telehealth is a serious modality in 2026, supported by RCT evidence comparable to in-person care.
Why a Pasadena practice serves all of LA
Los Angeles geography makes "where is your therapist's office" a much bigger question than it is in most cities. A 12-mile drive from West Hollywood to Pasadena is 25 minutes at 10am Saturday and 75 minutes at 6pm Wednesday. For weekly couples therapy — where missing or rushing sessions undermines the work — commute distance is a real clinical factor.
That's why most of our LA-region work happens via telehealth. The research on telehealth couples therapy is now solid (multiple RCTs and meta-analyses since 2020 show comparable outcomes to in-person), and it removes the single biggest practical barrier to sustained weekly couples work: getting two adults in the same room at the same time after work.
Our Pasadena office is for couples in the San Gabriel Valley who want in-person care, and for specific sessions (assessment, affair-recovery rituals, in-person discernment) that we believe go better in the room.

What kinds of LA couples come to us
Our caseload reflects LA — high cost-of-living anxiety, dual-career logistics, immigrant-family expectations, the entertainment industry's particular relational pressures, queer and chosen-family configurations, blended families across distance, couples navigating the housing question. We work with all of it.
We work in English, Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Hindi, Italian, Arabic, and Armenian (subject to clinician availability — confirm when you call). Our Spanish-language practice is a substantial part of the work; LA is a profoundly bilingual city and clients deserve care in their first language, not in translation.
What couples therapy with us actually looks like
Every clinician at Pasadena Clinical Group works exclusively with couples — no individual caseloads, no kid therapy, no medication management. That focus is the practice's reason for being, not a sub-specialty. We use Gottman Method, EFT, IBCT, Discernment Counseling, and PACT — the five most-validated couples therapies — and we choose between them based on what you're bringing in.
Sessions are 50 minutes, typically weekly. Most couples do focused work in 8–20 sessions over 3–6 months; affair recovery and discernment-to-rebuild work runs longer. We accept all major insurance (Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, L.A. Care, Magellan, MHN, and others) and offer self-pay rates published on our insurance page.

How to start
Call (626) 354-6440 or fill out the contact form. We respond the same business day. The first session is a 60-minute fit conversation, in person or via telehealth — your choice. If we're not the right fit, we refer you out to LA-area colleagues we trust rather than booking a second session.
